Twelve Moments of Spirituality and Healing
Monthly Meditation Series

Each month meditation leaders, representing different faith and spiritual traditions, discuss the healing power of meditation and then lead audience members through a representative example of meditation practice from that tradition.  Meditations occur on the first Wednesday of every month at noon.

Brigid's Oak and Hope for Renewal - Feast Day of St. Brigid

Welcome the renewal of the earth and the hope of new growth that connects us with the natural world.  Please join the Brigid's Place community as we celebrate the feast day of Ireland's St. Brigid of Kildare. 
Registration fee of $20 may be made by check payable to Brigid's Place or you may register online.  Pre-registration ends on Thursday, February 9th.  Registration at the door is $25.

Women's History Month Dinner Series
Hosted by the Ladies of the Pink Iftar
Various dates in March; various locations (beginning March 4th)

Guests will gather in the homes of Muslim women to enjoy a meal and conversation.  Non-Muslim Women of any age are welcome!
Please indicate two date preferences.  You will receive an email confirmation with the assigned date and address of the dinner. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $15.

Ongoing Programs

Sundays

The Magdalen Community will be group-leading an adult education class titled "Exploring the Sacred Wisdom Tradition" at Christ Church Cathdral January 15, 2012 through May, 2012. The class will meet in the Practice/Rehearsal Room, second floor, Latham Building (next to the stairs) at 10:00 a.m. We will open the class by chanting a psalm, practice "lectio divina", followed by conversation.  Reference texts will include: "The Wisdom Way of Knowing: Reclaiming An Ancient Tradition to Awaken the Heart " and "The Wisdom Jesus: Transforming Heart and Mind--A New Perspective on Christ and His Message" by Cynthia Bourgeault and "Foundations of Christian Spirituality - The Biblical Tradition: Revised Edition with Study Guide" by Lynn C. Bauman. The class is open to both women and men.
