Sometimes I think it is easy to say who I am by sharing what I am.  I am like a patchwork quilt that contains squares illustrating wife, mother, grandmother, sister, family member, child of God, Christ-follower.  And, on any given day, depending upon what is happening in my life and the lives of the people around me,  the center square of the quilt changes.

am an Oklahoma girl, transplanted to Texas via my Texas born and raised husband, Jim.  We have three lovely daughters – all grown – and two grandchildren – all grown up as well and both will graduate from college in the Spring.  I taught school for many years in Oklahoma and Texas, then followed my calling and became a pastor.  I am a retired minister with standing in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  I hold a B.A.in history from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, an B.S in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a M.Ed. from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  My additional post-graduate work was done at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and Brite Divinity School.  We divide time between Houston where we celebrate living in the Museum District and Angel Fire, New Mexico where I am called to dance with the moon and sing with the stars at the southern edge of the Rocky Mountains.

I am honored to be a part of Brigid’s Place – a place where I see spiritually nourished and the friendship and community of women lifted up.

Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.
It is the greatest gift anyone can give.
