The Women's Journal Index

Invitation
Beverly J. Lanzetta's Radical Wisdom:  A Feminist Mystical Theology contributes a brilliant analysis of women's experience in the depth of contemplative spirituality.  She describes the "un-saying of 'woman,'" an experience of negation in which un-saying patriarchial definitions of woman and the feminine creates space for women to reclaim the "positive fullness of being female."  The "dark night of the feminine" clears the way for women to recognize their "goodness, equality, and mutuality with divinity."  The theme of the next issue is Women Defining Themselves.  You are invited to submit a first-person narrative, article, poem, preferable 1200 words or less-or drawing or photograph-on this theme that would be of interest to readers of the Women's Journal.  Please e-mail it -by March 15, 2008 to Pamela Stockton at pammyjd@aol.com.  Include your name, full address, and daytime phone number.  All submissions are subject to editing.
